Dora Batty (1900-1966) was a British designer, working in illustration, poster design, pottery and textiles.〔Artmonsky, 2012: 124.〕 Batty designed posters for the Underground Group and for London Transport between 1921-1938, producing over 50 different designs.〔'(Dora Batty )' biography on the London Transport Museum website; and (Maker Profile of Dora Batty ), The Central Saint Martins Museum and Study Collection, University of the Arts London website.〕 From 1932, she taught in the School of Textiles at the Central School of Arts and Crafts.
